Thank you so much for this, the writing on fasting in particular and what it means, what it holds and gives. I'm going to keep coming back to this to reread.

As you can see, fasting isn't really such a strange idea in our collective history, we just chose to alienate it..

It's ok to praise: intermittent fasting, but not religious ones. They do exactly the same thing.

Similar to meditation, but not standing in prayer, in meditation..

I think that point about intermittent fasting versus religious fasting is really important. It shines a light on what the dominant society values.
