I really loved reading this on many different levels. It’s so heartening to hear that glorious bird song and see the green of your run. And the important truth of justice against empire of all kinds, including imperial exploitation of the earth itself. Really loved reading this. 💜
As much as we’d like to live our lives, without having to mention depressing things, we have to remind ourselves and bear witness. I remember John Cusack’s words about it: “to honor the dead, and be enraged to seek justice for them.”
So much beautiful writing here. My mind responds to the descriptions of this place, the powerful statements on justice and the lessons learned throughout history, and that incredible birdsong. But mostly I am left with those glorious photos and a sense once again of the incredible beauty of this world and how long it has waited for the dominant culture to join in care for it again.
I’m not interested in getting published per se, or being Pablo Neruda. I’m here to share ideas, as honest and raw as they sound in my head as if I’m talking to a friend.. They’re more like brainstorming.. hah!
yes! i think we need more of that in the written world. more being in the moment process than trying to create a finished narrative. there’s something very freeing in that.

Thank you Freya. 🌷

absolutely. i think that might be the most important work we can do in this life. 💜
I did not know John Cusack said that. How perfect and true.
He also surprised me. He’s very vocal for the Palestinians on twitter..

You’re so generous Antonia. I’m sure I’ve made some grammar howlers here and there but I’m staying true to the flow, not the polishing..
I had to do some massive idea-tying gymnastics there though to tie the justice idea.. 😅
i love the idea of staying true to the flow and not polishing. we need more of this in the world.

The gymnastics worked. 😀
